California is one of my favorite places in the whole world. My dream is to one day end up out there on the west coast but, until then, I’ll cherish the memories we make when we visit and, of course, document each adventure on film. When my husband and I go out to California, we normally go to the Carpinteria/Santa Barbara area where his grandparents live. We go to visit with family, soak up the sun, and just relax. I’ve noticed that each time we visit this beautiful place, and get away from our hectic busy lives on the east coast, we always seem to gain a little perspective, get back to what really matters, and just reflect on us. For those of you who don’t know, my husband and I are expecting a little boy in
August and this has been such an amazing, exciting time in our lives but there’s also been so much to get caught up in. This trip really helped us step back and learn to just enjoy every moment, we may not have our nursery set up or know who our pediatrician will be yet, but ultimately we do know that this little boy is going to be the best thing that’s ever happened to us. This is what trips out here do to us. They make us grateful for this wonderful life of ours.
